I wrote this song about Jonas from my roof top apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (NY) while watching the sunset behind the bridges. I'd moved from Detroit where we met, and he joined me later in NYC. It was a complicated relationship from the start that gave me a lot to write about and it ended harshly. Our mutual friend Lindsey shot some lovely pictures of me up there during that creative season and when I look at them I feel grateful. We believed that love could overcome anything back then...and I am still hoping to see it that is really true. Hope.
